Respiratory tract infections are infectious parts of the body involved in breathing such as the sinuses, throat, airways or lungs. Many common respiratory pathogens (viral and bacterial) have similar clinical presentation (such as a cough, sneezing, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, headaches muscle aches, high temperature, malaise) making diagnosis based on symptoms alone very difficult.
